Ken Barry

Chair of the Board

Ken BarryKen is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MAP Venture Capital Pty Ltd. Ken brings broad commercial acumen, knowledge and experience to the company, having acted on a wide range of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and initial public offerings. Ken has also advised in relation to the construction and operation of telecommunication networks and the thoroughbred breeding industry.

Ken is the Chairman of the National Board of Deacons and was a partner in the Melbourne office of Deacons. Prior to his existing role at Deacons he was Member, Joint Operations Committee and National Chairman of the Board of Management. Ken has also held the position of Chairman of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Currently, Ken holds a number of Board positions for various listed and private companies. Ken’s roles include Chairman of Coolmore Australia, Chairman of Wallace Absolute Return Ltd, Director of Next Generation Clubs (Pacific) Ltd, Director of DWS Advanced Business Solutions Ltd, Chairman of IOOF Holdings Trustee Pty Ltd and President of the Melbourne Newsboys Club Foundation.

Ken’s previous Board positions included Director of the National Electricity Market Management Company Ltd, Director of the Sangster Group and associated companies, Chairman of the Ausdoc Group Ltd, Chairman of Freightway Express Ltd, Chairman of Nonferral Australia Pty Ltd, and Directorships with Yallourn Energy Ltd, Scor Re Australia Ltd and Lotto Management Services Pty Ltd.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Law (University of Melbourne) and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Ian Martin

Director

Ian MartinIan is a non-executive Director of MAP Venture Capital Pty Ltd, and is recognised as one of Australia’s leading Telecom’s analyst.

Ian has over 20 years experience in telecommunications policy, regulation and commercial research. Currently Ian is the Chairman of AIMstats Pty Ltd a web analytics company and a Director, ET-China Holdings (Hong Kong) a integrated travel services company based in Southern China that is currently in the process of listing on the AIM board in London scheduled for Q3, 2007.

Since 1994 Ian has worked as a telecommunications research analyst in the global investment markets with BZW, Macquarie Bank and ABN Amro.

Ian is currently head of telecoms research with ABN Amro where he recently led the Australian telecommunications research team in the successful Telstra 3 sale process, and was head analyst in the sale of Telstra 2. Ian was the head of ABN Amro’s alternative network providers European research team based in London before leaving to become senior telecommunications strategist at Macquarie Bank for a three year period. In 1997 he was the independent analyst in BZW’s role advising the Australian Government on the Telstra privatization.

Prior to his work in investment banking Ian was with the Australian Department of Transport and Communications, including research and policy advice on Universal Service Obligations, telecommunications competition, policy and regulation. During this period he helped develop price controls for Telstra including retail price caps and price rules for network access. Ian also undertook a research exchange with Oftel, the UK telecommunications regulator, and the Federal Communications Commission, the US communications regulator, where he worked on price controls, cable regulation and other telecommunications issues.

Ian has also consulted to regulators on telecommunications industry structure and pricing working for the Australian Department of Transport & Communications & internationally in the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe with the OECD.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Economics (Monash University) and a Graduate Diploma of Economics (Australian National University).

Sean Taffe

Director

Sean TaffeSean is a Director and a Responsible Officer of MAP Venture Capital Pty Ltd as well as the founder and Managing Director of Opes Prime Structured Products Pty Ltd.

Sean has spent two decades in the financial services industry. Currently he is the Managing Director of Opes Prime Structured Products, a structured products business, with offices in Australia and Singapore. The business creates investment structures to optimise risk/return profile on ASX Top50 during dividend anomaly period. Quant based time series model (proprietary) employed to determine optimal entry/exit point. Quant based valuation matrix (proprietary) employed to determine optimal collar hedge combination.

Previous roles Sean has held include Head of Leverage and Structured Products with UBS Wealth Management, Manager of Structured Loans with Merrill Lynch Private and Private Client Adviser (Financial Consultant) with Wilson HTM Ltd.

Sean holds Series 7 International Dealers Accreditation through Merrill Lynch, PS146 Accreditation, 1998, Options Accreditation Level 1 and Level 2 and Accredited Derivatives Advisor, Level 2.

Willy Chow

Director

Willy ChowWilly is a non-executive Director of MAP Venture Capital Pty Ltd and has over 12 years experience primarily in M&A and strategy in the telecoms and media sectors in Asia. Willy is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Asia Broadcast Satellite (“ABS”) in Hong Kong servicing content providers and telecommunications operators across Asia Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe. ABS is a recent venture (September 2006) led by major shareholder Citigroup Venture Capital International.

Prior to his current role, Willy worked with Singapore Telecommunications as Senior Director of Strategic Investments. In this role he was lead manager for Singapore Telecommunications key strategic investments, including Bharti Tele-Ventures (India), Telkomsel (Indonesia), Advance Info (Thailand), APT Satellite (HK) and Globe Telecom (Philippines). These investments have significant contribution to Singapore Telecommunications Group with over 30% of Group’s net profit and 70% of Group’s subscriber base.

Willy was a member of the Board of Director of Speedcast (Hong Kong) with responsibility for corporate development and corporate finance where he developed and secured financing through venture capital investment and strategic equity sale thereby establishing SpeedCast with a capitalization of US$40M with investments from Asia Satellite Communications Ltd, Tech System Ltd, Telecom Venture Group and Yahoo! Inc.

Willy also was a manager with Deloitte Consulting (Hong Kong) where he provided strategic and corporate finance advisory services to major telecommunications operators across Asia Pacific. Gained an in-depth understanding of fixed, mobile and satellite based technology for the delivery of broadband / narrowband data and telephony services, working extensively with top management, investment bankers, accountants, lawyers and industry analysts.

Willy holds a Master of Business Administration (Imperial College, University of London) a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (University of Toronto) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Daryl Joyce

Director

Daryl JoyceDaryl is the Executive Director of MAP Venture Capital Pty Ltd and Chairman of the Investment Review Committee. Daryl is currently a director of MAP Venture Partners (Holdings) Pty Ltd and Ericsson Australia Pty Ltd. Daryl worked on the investments in Amethon Solutions and CoolRock Software and is the Board representative for MAP Venture Partners (Holdings) for both those companies.

Daryl is one of Australia’s most highly regarded TMT executives.He has been responsible for over $3 billion in sales in the Australian and Asia Pacific telecommunications sector. Daryl has substantial expertise across all facets of the TMT industry with over 20 years experience, including significant venture capital exposure and new venture involvement. He was the responsible Ericsson executive for the Ericsson-Deutsche Technology Fund during 2001/2002, a $60 million fund, established in 2000.

Daryl has spent the last 15 years managing major accounts and developing new business for Ericsson in Australia and internationally. He has held a number of senior executive roles in Ericsson, including: Director of Business Development (2001 – 2002); Director of Marketing (1999 – 2001); Director of 3G (1998 – 1999 ); Director of Telstra Sales & Marketing (1996 – 1998); Director of Mobile Networks (1995 – 1996); Marketing & Sales Manager Mobile Networks (1992 – 1995); and Director of Information Systems & Technology (1986 – 1992).

Daryl is a past Board member and Vice President of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA). He holds a Diploma of Executive Development (IMD University of Lausanne, Switzerland).
